In the atrium of Temple Bar Gallery, a walking/standing audience will experience a 30 minute sound performance/installation featuring solo violinist with pre-recorded audio on speakers.
Inviting the audience to explore the physical space while listening to new contemporary works for violin and tape, and providing an opportunity to reconvene together in a safe manner in a central location and accessible to all, is the central idea for the event.
The audience are free to stay and listen to the whole programme or experience parts of the programme and explore the sounds in the various parts of the central atrium.
A broad programme of modern works for solo violin that will include pieces by David Lang, Linda Buckley, Kaija Saariaho, Missy Mazzoli, Andrew Norman, and Sam Perkin’s new commission for violin and audio.
